TYLER IGUESS

Born and raised in Texas City, TX, baseball was my way of life since I was 4 years old. At Texas City HS, I was a 4-year starter for the varsity baseball team, including the 2007 State Semi-Finalists team as a freshman. After high school, I attended Galveston College on a baseball scholarship and started both years in center field. I had the privilege of being selected to the TX/NM JUCO All Star Game as a sophomore. I began coaching summer and fall baseball for Texas City HS. These opportunities helped me realize I wanted to give back like so many had given to me over my playing career. My first official coaching job was as volunteer coach at Santa Fe High School in 2015. From there, I was offered the Assistant Head Coach position at Houston C.E. King High School from 2016-2018. After 2 years, I decided to come closer to home and moved to South Houston High School as the Assistant Head Coach. After 1 year, I was offered the Head Coach position at South Houston, where I still am to this day. For PBA, this will be my 4th year with the organization. I was a 14U coach in 2016, then came back in 2019 to be with the 16U team.

In life, I am blessed with 2 beautiful kids who I love the most. When I am not with them or on the baseball field, you can find me on the water with a fishing pole in my hand.
